New Zealand Wool Berber Rug

New Zealand Wool Berber Rug

from 2,789.00

Designed in Denmark, this handwoven Berber rug is produced from the finest New Zealand wool, which provides a unique softness due to the high quality of the wool. The origin of the carpet weaving tradition by the Berber populations in North Africa and the Sahara Desert dates back several millennia. Each rug is unique and entirely handmade based on centuries-old tradition and technique, seeking to create a dialogue between the established and the experimental, the past and the present.

The New Zealand wool is recognized as the world’s purest and whitest wool with excellent dyeing characteristics. It is the best suited natural product to create rugs with long lasting colors. Its purity and whiteness allows for lighter, more delicate shades and brighter colors.

New Zealand wool has long fibers and therefore peeling is minimized to almost nothing. The resilience of the fibers, reduces flattening and ensures durability and easy maintenance.

The natural properties of New Zealand wool makes it non-allergenic and fire-resistant which helps to create a safe and healthy indoor environment. New Zealand wool is made with animal friendly practices and it is sustainable, natural and biodegradable.  Design by Massimo.
